Gloria was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She undertook her studies at Kinshasa Academy of Fine Arts, and later at Manchester College. Gloria’s practice is very varied, working in painting, drawing, photography, textiles, sculpture, and ceramics. She is exited by the creative possibilities of all materials, and participated in several projects in her country.
As an Artist with DIPACT CIC, she plays a vital role as one of the lead artists for the Global Roots Canvas programme. Bringing her rich international background and multi-disciplinary expertise to our community-led spaces, Gloria designed and facilitated the inspiring Rooted and Blooming series of workshops at the Beacon Centre in Clayton. Through this project, she guides participants in exploring their own creative potential using a vibrant mix of materials, fostering both personal growth and deep cultural connection within the neighborhood.
